There are a lot of things we say you DON’T need before you start working with us to build your home. But there is one thing you DO need- a vision of what you want your house to look like.

A vision can be a lot of different things. It can be a Pinterest board, a binder where you’ve been storing magazine clippings, or a picture album on your phone.

Whatever it is, there is one constant in all of those mediums – you’ve got to have some way to show us exactly what you’re looking for. We want to give you everything you want in your custom home, but without a vision, we’ll all be frustrated. And we don’t want that!

What we do want is to give you the home of your dreams. Knowing your likes, dislikes, style, and needs helps create a smoother process and a happier customer!

Having a vision will also help you figure out what you like if you don’t quite know yet. Looking at pictures of other houses makes it easier to narrow down what you want and are adamantly opposed to having in your dream house since sometimes we only know what we want once we see it for ourselves.

If you need help figuring out how to start, just open Pinterest, search for kitchens, and see if you find any you like OR dislike. It doesn’t have to be small details; start with the overall look, and you’ll find that helps form a vision of what you want your home to look like.

Having a vision doesn’t mean we need you to have every aspect decided on, but it does help when you at least have a starting point. With a starting point, we can show you some features and design elements you may not have considered.

Since everyone has unique wants and needs, likes and dislikes, having a vision ensures that we can give you everything you want and leave out the styles and components you do not necessarily like.
