BAM started back in 2015. Jonathan Barrow and a family friend started the business while living in Houston. After two years of driving back and forth, Jonathan took over entirely, he and his wife, Caitlyn, moved to Waco, and the rest is history!
Yes, we do! About half of our jobs are out in the country, or at least on the customer’s own lot/property.
Of course! Now, if you want to build and don’t already have a realtor – don’t sweat that either. But yes, we work with realtors and their clients.
No! If you have a floor plan, we’ll take a look at it and offer some suggestions to ensure your dream home includes everything you need and want. After that conversation, we’ll start collecting a reliable bid, which takes about three to four weeks.
No! We love to start at the design stage with customers (for both remodels and new homes) so that we really know what you want from start to finish. Plus, we can help you avoid some mistakes from all of our experience with floor plans!
Yes! All you have to do is reach out to the office. We’ll set an initial meeting with Jonathan at your house. He’ll talk with you about what you want, explain our process, and how we can help!
For a short answer, 95% of what you end up seeing in your finished house is what you’ve picked out.

When you call us to chat about building your home, usually, one of the first questions is about price.
Want to know some things we assume are included in that rough estimate we give you? To name a few:
There is a team that is working together to give you the home you’ve been dreaming of. And at different times, you’ll work more with different members of that team. But primarily, your points of contact will be the Project Manager and Selections Coordinator.
The Project Manager that is on your job! She will be there from the first meeting to the end to ensure consistency throughout the job and to minimize confusion on the scope of the project.
First, know that this answer changes. And right now, we see it fluctuating more than we ever did before. In the country, we would tell you that for a “standard” 2500-ish square foot home – it takes us 8 months to complete the home from when we pour the slab. But, in the city, because of the extra inspections that are required, for that same home, it takes us about 10 months from pour to completion.
